A fencing company's community support has an unfair advantage over most corporate giving: the thing the company does all day is exactly the thing community events cannot afford. A cheque helps any club; a delivered, installed event setup, fencing, barriers, toilets, removes the single largest line from a volunteer committee's budget. Rentafence gives in both currencies, with a bias toward the one it mints.
Where the support goes
The portfolio, shared across the TFH family of businesses, concentrates where the company lives:
- Grassroots and community rugby league and rugby: clubs like the Wynnum Seagulls and Burleigh Bears, Wests Bulldogs and University of Queensland Rugby, plus Central Queensland Rugby League and the Capras beyond the south east
- The officials nobody sponsors: the Queensland Rugby Referees Association, because no referees, no game
- Elite women's sport: Sunshine Coast Lightning
- Regional events and festivals: the Flame BBQ and Music Festival at Jimboomba with Logan City Council, and Queensland Raceways for motorsport
- Permanent infrastructure: the naming of the High Performance Centre at Parkwood, sponsorship that left a building behind
The current list lives on the community sponsorships page.
Why equipment support punches above its value
Follow a volunteer event budget and the pattern repeats: talent, insurance and infrastructure, and infrastructure loses the argument, until the day itself, when improvised crowd separation and a queue for two toilets become the event's memory. Equipment support fixes the line the committee could not fund, and it arrives with something money cannot buy: the supplier's experience of what a carnival, fete or festival actually needs, per the event planning method.
What a strong request looks like
No formal scoring system exists, but the requests that land share four features:
- A local connection, to a community where the company operates and its people live
- Specificity: what equipment, what dates, what the day looks like
- Lead time, because equipment support rides on fleet availability, and event season is exactly when everyone asks
- Visible community benefit: junior sport, volunteer committees, money that returns to participation
Asking
Start at the community sponsorships page, or get in touch with the who, what and when. If the need is equipment for a date rather than an ongoing partnership, run a quote request in parallel so availability gets answered while the support conversation happens.
The wider community thread runs through fencing for community projects and sports event safety.
